Converting a photograph into artwork (also known as photo to canvas or photo on canvas) is a reality today thanks to the technology involved in canvas prints. Unlike the "stretched" or "grainy" images from the not too distant past, today's images have clarity and color that is unmatched.
Two different, yet distinct techniques allow the transformation to reveal such enriching images. The first is known as PhotoRealistic. This method involves an analysis by trained technicians who carefully evaluate the existing photo, and then painstakingly balance and enhance the image to return the best possible canvas photo. This method is utilized to reproduce group photos where high detail retention is paramount.
A more elaborate method is known as PixelPainting. The Pixelpainting format follows a similar path to the PhotoRealistic, however the image then receives a treatment to make it resemble an oil painting. A "painterly" effect, which includes brush strokes using a specialized tablet and stylus, emits an unparalleled enhancement of the image onto the canvas.
Choosing the proper framing for the print is dependent upon the desired location and style that the owner wishes to portray. Canvas prints come in Thin Gallery Wrap, Thick Gallery Wrap, or a Custom Frame. Frames come in a variety of colors that can be custom selected to provide additional elegance to any canvas. Clients are also afforded a free "retouching" if they feel their canvas needs a minor hint of improvement; this typically satisfies even those with the most selective palate.
